Departing from Yarmouth Heliport's grass runway, your hugely-experienced instructor will introduce you to the Aeroplane's controls as you cross the River Bure and its scattering of windmills.
The River Bure and its Windmills, October 2024 (Lewis Hurley)
You'll follow Breydon Water and the River Yare, with the Berney Arms Mill and Burgh Castle's Roman Fort in sight. After viewing Reedham's famous bridge and ferry, you'll fly yourself North to Acle for another view along the Bure and, of course, the Acle Straight. Continuing North along the Bure, the mouth of the River Thurne will be in sight as you pass between the wildlife havens of Upton and Ranworth Broads.
Tiger Moth passing Barton Broad, June 2025 (Lewis Hurley)
With the pretty village of Horning on your left, you pick up the River Ant, passing Barton Broad as you continue North towards Honing Hall to view Norfolk's only canal, the North Walsham and Dilham canal.
Tiger Moth over Potter Heigham, June 2025 (Lewis Hurley)
Returning via Stalham Marina, Hickling Broad, Potter Heigham and Filby Broad, your instructor will be happy to demonstrate a loop or a barrel roll before landing back at Yarmouth Heliport, if you'd like that.
