You've flown the Tiger, now try its big, brash American cousin - the Stearman! The Boeing Stearman was the standard American primary training aeroplane of its era, with many RAF pilots learning to fly on it in the USA during WW2. Our example was built in 1941 for the US Navy - now its your turn to enjoy the charismatic roar of its radial engine and its spacious open cockpit! Following a short briefing from your highly-experienced instructor, you'll be introduced to the aeroplane's controls and given ample opportunity to fly it yourself. Alternatively, simply enjoy the views of Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire or the Cotswolds from your unique vantage point. For the complete Stearman experience, ask your instructor to demonstrate an aerobatic manoeuvre before you return to the grass of historic Bicester airfield.
