This is definitely one for the aviation history enthusiast - they’ve read the books and seen the films, but what better way to view Oxfordshire’s wartime airfields than by taking a flying lesson in our genuine wartime trainer, the iconic Tiger Moth? Follow in the footsteps of RAF trainees by taking off from Bicester Heritage, where many pilots learned to fly the Blenheim light bomber, on our Standard trail, during which you explore 3 more local airfields. The Extended tour offers the opportunity to venture further afield - your highly-experienced instructor will offer you a choice of itineraries for both Trails on the Day. As with all our Tiger Moth lessons, your instructor will be pleased to show you some gentle aerobatics at the end of your flight, but only if that’s what you’d like!
Flight Durations: 30 mins (Standard) and 45 mins (Extended)
This Tiger Moth experience flies from Bicester Airfield, OX26 5HA.
